Ferghas Clavey is a London based dance artist originally from the Lake District in the NW of England. He studied at Laban and then went on to work with Verve; NSCD’s postgraduate company, where he performed pieces by Noa Zuk, Joan Cleville, Ben Wright, and Maxine Doyle. For the last few years, he has been working with Punchdrunk where he helped create and perform in both HBO’s ‘The Third Day’ and more recently ‘The Burnt City’ where he originated the characters of Polydorus, Watchman and Laocoon.
His practice consists of a mix of contemporary dance styles, floor work, parkour, tricking and climbing, with aspects of physical theatre. He is interested largely in improvisation and how our landscape affects how we move.
