Charlotte Pook

Rehearsal Director

Originally from Brighton and Hove, Charlotte graduated with a Masters Degree in Dance Performance, before beginning her career as a Dance Practitioner, performing and teaching in multiple companies and settings. Charlotte has been working as a Rehearsal Director since 2015 working with companies, Akram Khan Company, BalletBoyz, Alexander Whitley, Jack Philp Dance and National Dance Company Wales where she has re staged and rehearsed productions for both U.K and International touring, including works by, Maxine Doyle, Xie Xin, Ivan Perez, Russel Maliphant, Christopher Wheeldon, Fernando Melo, Holly Blakey, Vidya Patel, Edd Arnold and Caroline Finn.

Charlotte began developing her technique practice, teaching professionals, students and the wider community for the past ten years, delving into the body’s functionality and using her yoga and somatic training to influence her practice . Charlotte was appointed Dance Captain for the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony in Birmingham 2022 and was awarded the ‘Biennale de Danse’ Choreographic Award for the Seychelles festival in 2016. This is Charlotte’s second year with AKC, touring Jungle Book reimagined and looks forward to continuing her relationship with the company for future works.
