Organised by Arlene Phillips, Graham Watts and Guy Chapman, Gala for Grenfell will bring together dancers for an evening of performances to raise funds to support the many lives who were affected by the tragedy in June.

Akram will be performing a piece he describes as a reflection of his feelings: “through these incidents [you realise] there’s a volcano ready to erupt inside you, the sense of loss and chaos and despair. I made it as a reflection of loss but it’s not a negative piece it’s celebrating life, really”.

Gala for Grenfell is at the Adelphi Theatre, London on Sunday 30th July 2017. All proceeds will go via The K&C foundation.
